Phoneya ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our phone number lookup service.
When you view a number's page we record that a lookup happened so we can show how many people have searched for that number recently, and flag numbers with a sudden increase in searches. To count people rather than page views, we store a one-way hashed session identifier, a hashed IP address, and a hashed form of your network, together with your country and a general category for how you arrived (for example “search engine” or “direct”). We do not store your raw IP address, your full browser identifier, or the specific page you came from in these records, and they are never linked to a name or account. Individual lookup records are automatically deleted after 30 days, leaving only aggregate daily totals. Repeat views by the same visitor and traffic from bots are excluded from the counts shown publicly.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share anonymized, aggregate data for research or analytical purposes. User-submitted reports are publicly visible after moderation, but we do not display any personally identifiable information.
To show who a number may belong to, we send the searched phone number — and nothing else about you — to the Eyecon caller-ID service. Eyecon returns a name that other people have saved that number under in their own address books. We request names only; we do not request or store profile photos. Results are cached so the same number is not sent repeatedly.
These names are crowd-sourced and unverified. They are not supplied by carriers or by the number's owner, and they may be outdated or wrong. If a name linked to your number appears on Phoneya, you can have it removed using the removal request on that number's page. See our Data Sources page for details.
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information. IP addresses are hashed before storage, making them irreversible. All user-submitted content is sanitized to remove potentially harmful data including links, email addresses, and excessive phone numbers.
All user-submitted reports are screened before publication. We reserve the right to reject or remove content that violates our guidelines, contains inappropriate material, or appears to be spam or abuse.

Analytics and advertising cookies are off by default. When you first visit, we ask for your permission and set no analytics or advertising cookies until you accept. If you decline, Google's tags remain in a restricted mode that stores no such cookies on your device, ads shown to you are non-personalized, and the site continues to work normally. Our service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
