Caller ID showed incoming caller ID as 202-391-4946, caller identified themself as Allison with the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau, calling in reference to my registered Verizon wireless phone Washington DC phone number 202-688-9283. My reply interesting. First of all, I DO NOT have said registration with Verizon wireless and in looking up the "Wireless Communications Bureau" online I see that it is an FCC commission and from description not likely one that would be calling a consumer as you did today. So, I ask again, what is the reason/nature of your call? And the caller hung up. Given this appears to be a scam I did report the call to the FCC Wireless Telecommunications Bureau via their 'complaint' from. Added to complaint, if this is a scam you may want to get out ahead of it via 'public awareness announcement' utilizing mass media, such as local news. If this is not a scam and you really were trying to call me concerning this Verizon wireless registration, please call me back.
